Golant lies on the River Fowey, a short way upstream from Fowey. It has a charming pub and riverside walks and is a quiet, secluded spot to enjoy the tranquility of the river. One of the main features is the pill, with the railway line to Fowey carrying clay trucks along the narrow embankment. |
